Introduction?

so I’m just going to use this as a journal for now. I wanted to start a blog because I think my view of the modern-day world is worth sharing. if nobody ever reads this… I hope it’s found on this laptop far in the future in an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere and it becomes a modern-day work of brilliance.

anyways, a little bit about myself.

• I’m 18 years-old
• I type in all lowercase because it’s “cool”
• I attend the University of Texas at Austin and major in electrical and computer engineering (soon to be comp sci)
• I’m from Luling, Texas (a real-life Radiator Springs)
• I enjoy playing chess, reading books, smoking pot, playing loads of video games, watching anime, and spending time with my friends
• I work at a tech company called Higher Resolutions
• I live with my grandmother in a front shed
• I like bullet points
• and I absolutely love learning

I’m writing this blog because I think the modern-day world has become so much different than many other generations before at an alarmingly fast pace. the modern-day world has become such a luxury to many of us in life that we often forget about all of the hardships and struggles our past generations had to endure. our way of life has become so easy and struggle-less that the thought of starving, dying, and looking for shelter in the winter does not even cross our mind in the slightest. we live in such luxury that we don’t even realize that we are solely smart animals on a floating speck in a big, expanding universe in a world where we have access to every single artifact and technological advancement ever in the history of the planet earth at the edge of our fingertips (the ones that were recorded and put on the internet of course). we as modern-day humans are completely ignorant to the fact that we were once mere wild animals and after thousands of years of evolution, we are now this all-powerful species that has taken over the whole planet that we inhabit on this phenomenon in the universe that we call EARTH that has LIFE and CONSCIOUS BEINGS. what even are we? why are we conscious and why does nobody around me think about these things the way that I do? are they completely ignorant to even thinking things like this because their minds are completely oblivious to all the other things in life like different cultures, art, the fucking Renaissance?? are we just all going to forget about the fact that we literally went through a time period where our brains and minds literally expanded because of the psychedelic drug DMT? are we going to just forget about the fact that we can literally have an EGO DEATH? we so often forget about our history as a species and how disconnected we are from reality. my goal in this journal/blog thing is to share my experience of the world through my own eyes and to maybe teach the reader a thing or two about life. hope you enjoy your stay.
